Also with Gina Torres, Aisha Hinds, Alani “La La” Anthony and D.B. Woodside. Directed by Numa Perrier. A few lines of dialogue are spoken in Spanish without translation. [Running Time: 1:39]

The Perfect Find SEX/NUDITY 5

 – A man and a woman kiss, and she seems to rub his groin below the frame, asking “Can I borrow this”; he picks her up, sits her on a kitchen counter, lifts her dress, kneels, and puts his head and face under her dress between her legs (we briefly see her lower thighs and knees), she leans back and smiles (oral sex is implied). A woman stalks into the room loudly clicking high heels, yelling, and a woman and a younger man sit up on the couch as they straighten their shirts (sex is implied).
A woman and a younger man flirt at a party by smiling and paying each other compliments, they kiss, they both say I love you, and lie on a couch until she slides off the couch and leaves embarrassed; she later finds out that he is her new employer’s son. Two women flirt by smiling and paying each other compliments, and they dance together while rubbing their clothed buttocks together and caressing each other’s backs and sides with their hands; they later attempt to walk into a small closet (presumably for sex) but are discovered by another woman. Movements during a dance scene imply that a man is twerking against a woman. A man and a woman sitting at a table each pull a foot from their shoes and rub their feet together.
A man and a woman kiss each other for several seconds in several scenes.
In a blurry scene, a woman wearing a bra and underwear lies face down on a bed while a man sits on the floor as they talk (we see her blurred lower buttocks and partial thighs). A man and a woman sit in bed and we see his bare chest and side, as well as her bare legs to the upper thighs (she is wearing a long T-shirt). A man is shown shirtless with a large tattoo of a dove on his chest (we see his bare chest and abdomen). Several women wear low-cut mini-dresses that reveal cleavage and bare legs to the upper thighs. A few women wear crop tops that show some cleavage and a few others wear long dresses slit to the thigh, revealing a full bare leg. Two women wear very deeply cut blouses that reveal cleavage.
A woman tells her friends that she had sex with a “fetus” (a younger man). A man and a woman walk along a street, laughing as each implies that the other is very loud when having sex. A woman tells her adult daughter to move out of the house because “Your father won’t touch me while you’re here.”
A 40-something woman shows a younger man an ultrasound image of a baby she says is his, and he becomes upset and leaves. A pregnant woman has an ultrasound and the doctor announces that she is having a boy.

The Perfect Find VIOLENCE/GORE 2

 – Two men argue and threaten to fight each other, but a third man interrupts them and we see that he has a badly swollen lower lip from a severe allergic reaction; a woman gets an EpiPen and jabs him in the thigh to ease the reaction.
A woman and her mother argue for several seconds until the mother tells her daughter to move out and the daughter goes to her room and screams. A younger man and an older woman bicker in many scenes and argue heatedly for several seconds in one scene, and in another scene he leaves her sitting in a cab alone. Two women argue sarcastically but mildly in several scenes. A woman argues with another woman and a younger man and fires the second woman from work; we hear that the man later quit work at the same company. A man makes flatulent noises with his mouth.
A person walks with a cane, crying and wailing about a missing peacock. After people eat drugged gummy candy we see a dozen men and women in the room dancing in slow motion.

The Perfect Find LANGUAGE 6

 – About 16 F-words and its derivatives, 5 sexual references, 11 scatological terms, 12 anatomical terms, 10 mild obscenities, 3 derogatory terms for African-American people, name-calling (snaggletooth, clown, lame, narcissist, sick, Mr. Top Hat, Candace Owens, Mr. Rock Bottom, Sleeping Beauty), exclamations (shut-up, shut your trap, whoa, oh my gosh, oh my goodness, oh man), 3 religious profanities (GD), 16 religious exclamations (e.g. oh my God, oh God, oh Lord, I swear to God, Por Dios). | profanity glossary |

The Perfect Find SUBSTANCE USE

 – A woman lays down a smoking device, then looks for it and yells that “I need my weed” (marijuana), three people at a party each eat a drugged gummy candy and one of the men says things look like they’re in slow motion, and a woman jabs a man with an EpiPen during an allergic reaction. Three women chug large shots of a clear liquor and other men and women hold but do not drink cocktails at a party, a woman at a party spikes the punch with clear liquor and several men and women drink it and say it is very strong, men and women at a gala hold up glasses of champagne for a toast (they are not seen drinking), and a man and a woman on a bridge at night drink from a bottle of champagne. A woman inhales from a device that may be a vape, without any visible smoke.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
