"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME

Meet Wally Sparks | 1997 | R | - 6.3.6

Rodney Dangerfield plays an obnoxious talk show host.

SEX/NUDITY 6 - Lots and lots of sexual innuendo (including references to bestiality, masturbation, rape, oral and anal sex, prostitution, etc.). Bare breasts are seen in two scenes. A pornographic tape shows a man moaning and we see thrusting movements (but he's seen from the chest up so we don't see anything else). Photos showing a woman's bare breast as she lies on top of a man and a man licking a woman's chest. A woman flashes her breasts at a man (but she has her bra on), the side of a man's bare buttocks. Fondling through clothing (a man's crotch), kissing. A man puts the genitals from a statue in his pocket and he appears to be sexually aroused. A woman is offended when he dances with her and she feels him; he bumps into the backside of a man bending over (this is seen a few times on video).

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - Mainly played for laughs: A slight bloody nose, a person with a bloody face (they had a cinder block fall on their face which we also see). Slaps, a wrestling match turns into a fight with punches, bodies thrown around and furniture knocked around. Falls, a man is pulled behind a car, objects thrown at people, threatening with a sword and a gun (the gun is fired as people try to get it). A horse in a house knocks over people and furniture and the rider is thrown through a window.

LANGUAGE 6 - One F-word and a couple of derivatives, a few scatological references, many anatomical references, some mild obscenities.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Talk shows, campaigning and politics.

MESSAGE - Politics make strange bedfellows.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
