House Party VIOLENCE/GORE 7

 – Two men are grabbed by other people in a large gathering, each man picks up a weapon (one takes a hammer and one takes a wrench), and stand in a ring where other men holding weapons growl at them until someone off-screen cuts off one of their heads (we see the head separate and blood and tissue are shown); a man fights with other men kicking and slashing them with a knife until he stabs one man in both shoulders (we see blood and hear squishing), and one wounded man pins another man on the floor and stabs him in the chest (the wounded man coughs up blood and his sweater is stained with blood); the attacker is then struck from behind and falls to the floor.

A man walks through another man’s house, lies on his bed, gets sprayed by the bidet in the toilet, tries on the homeowner’s jacket, and finds a trophy room and tastes a white powder in a chalice (it’s not a drug).

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
