Heavy Trip SEX/NUDITY 6

 – A woman straddles a seated man in the back of a van and thrusts up and down while they both moan; another woman enters the van and the man invites her to join them, she leaves and the couple continues to have sex (no nudity is evident).
A man is shown wearing a hospital gown that is open in the back and we see his bare buttocks, back and legs in several scenes, as well as glimpses of heavily shadowed genitals. We see a poster of a bikini-clad woman on a wall (cleavage, bare shoulders and abdomen are seen). A man in a public restroom exits a stall and we see that his fly is unzipped (no flesh is visible). A woman wears a tank top that reveals cleavage, bare shoulders and upper back.
A young man dips a young woman and they kiss. A young man kisses another young man on the mouth after he teases him and calls him gay. A young man makes a sexual gesture with a beer bottle. A man tells a young woman that she looks like an angel and flirts with her and then asks her on a date.

Heavy Trip VIOLENCE/GORE 4

 - A young man in a van speeds along a road, swerves to miss a reindeer and crashes in a ditch (we understand that he died in the crash). A young man jumps into an animal enclosure in a zoo and an unidentified animal (it looks like a wolverine) hisses and snarls at him, he takes a piece of meat from in front of the animal and the animal jumps on his back as he walks away; they struggle and wrestle and he punches the animal, swings it by its legs and throws it before escaping over the wall (we see him later with scratches on his face). A man punches a young man in the face and they wrestle in the back of a van along with two other young men until the first man settles down. We hear that a man in a care facility is dangerous and he is locked in a room alone; an orderly takes fresh linens for him and the man attacks him, tackles him and a nurse accidentally sprays the orderly with mace in the eyes. Police officers try to rush a stage during a performance and several people dressed in Viking garb hold them off; the police break through and one officer tackles a young man on the stage and we see all of the band members in handcuffs being led through cheering crowds. A young man lights his drumsticks on fire for a performance and plays with them in flames; the sleeves of his jacket catch on fire and he runs out of the building yelling (we do not see injuries).
Five men in a van speed along a road and a grenade is thrown into the vehicle tipping it over; the men come out of the vehicle with smoke billowing around them and they are detained by border guards that hit a couple of the men with clubs and shoot weapons into the air. A grenade launcher is fired and the explosive blows up a shack full of weapons. A woman holds a grenade launcher and caresses it romantically.
A young man chases a pickup truck and when the truck stops short, the young man flips into the open bed in the back (he is not harmed). A young man breaks into a police station and crashes through the ceiling onto the floor with rubble around him (no injuries are seen). A young man is struck in the head by a thrown club (we hear a thud and he stumbles but seems uninjured). A young man playing the drums falls off his stool and lays on the floor motionless until another young man pounds on his chest and he spits out a piece of food and revives. A young man drops a sedated man out a second floor window to the ground (we see him OK later). Four young men dig up the grave of a friend and put the coffin (with the body inside) on the roof of a van. Four young men jump off a cliff into the ocean below and wash up on a shore unharmed (one young man coughs up water). Three people are shown standing on large crosses (suggesting crucifixion) with fires burning around the area (it is a fantasy game). A coffin with a body in it is carried onto a stage for a performance and then passed through the audience. A van on a hill loses its brakes and speeds backward along the road, crashes off a ledge and onto another ledge below.
A man threatens a young man to stay away from a young woman. Three young men tease another young man for having long hair. A young woman yells at a young man when he says that he is going to give up on his dream.
We hear that a young man works in his family's "reindeer slaughterhouse." When a young man falls off his stool onto the floor another young man says that his brain is not getting enough oxygen and we hear that the man who has fallen has been declared dead twice. A man says that heavy metal music makes reindeer want to kill themselves. When trying to come up with a name for a heavy metal band, people mention "Forced Vomit," "Vomitorium," "Fetal Death," "Blood Poisoning," and other similar terms. A young man's T-shirt reads, "Killing is my business." A man's T-shirt reads, "Cannibal corpse." A man describes a van as having killed people and animals and that someone died in the passenger seat. A man talks about wolves and says that they "kill for fun." A young man talks about his father doing something while he still has most of his arms and legs left (he owns a reindeer slaughterhouse). A young man says, "We are on a mission from Satan." A music festival is called the "Northern Damnation Festival." Lyrics for heavy metal songs are screamed and growled and indecipherable. A noise that a machine makes when a large piece of reindeer carcass gets jammed in it is described as "the sound of reindeers going to hell."
A young man on stage vomits a large volume of goo into the audience and onto one man in particular (we see the liquid spray and run down clothing). A young man on a stage vomits a large amount of goo onto a man in an audience and his face and head are completely covered with goo. A young man vomits on the side of the road (we see a lot of goo). A man asks to buy some reindeer blood from a slaughterhouse and a barrel full of it is poured on his head accidentally (we see the man completely soaked in blood). A man is shown missing some of his fingers and his hand is heavily bandaged. A young man works in a reindeer slaughterhouse and we see carcasses hanging from hooks and smaller pieces are shown being cut up and pushed through a machine; one large piece goes through and gets stuck and we see the back legs of the reindeer thrashing around. A nurse in a nursing home tells an orderly that a resident has defecated in his pants and that the orderly will need to clean him up (he does but we do not see anything).

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
