Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) uncover government conspiracies in the big screen version of their popular TV show.

SEX/NUDITY 1 - Sexual innuendo.

VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - A creature attacks and mutilates a man leaving a very bloody face and neck. A man repeatedly stabs a creature with lots of black blood. Bugs crawl up a body under the skin. A decomposing corpse with a creature growing inside is seen. A liquified corpse, a bloody autopsy, a bloody, and a decayed corpse are shown. A man is attacked and he's very bloody with many cuts. A couple is caught in a giant beehive. A man is shot and has a bloody temple, and a man is shot and blood splatters onto another's face. Bodies are shown floating in liquid. Creatures attack a couple. A series of earthquakes cause the ground to crumble under a couple's feet. Car crashes with people being knocked around. Explosions. Chases. A boy has black, filmy eyes. Threatening with guns. Falls.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
