ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

A group of Harvard roommates learn the true meaning of life
and friendship upon befriending a homeless man (Joe Pesci).
SEX/NUDITY 4 - A few fairly innocuous sexual remarks (a roommate borrows a
condom, a man refers to a date's large breast size). A couple kiss passionately but
briefly, another couple share a passionate kiss and are later shown in bed together,
presumably after having sex. A man's bare backside is briefly seen, and a woman is shown
in the shower but her body cannot really be seen through the thick shower curtain
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - A man falls and hurts his ankle. The "violence"
of being homeless is depicted.
PROFANITY 3 - About four scatological references and a few mild profanities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Homelessness, college, co-ed roommates, abandonment.
MESSAGE - The homeless are people too.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
