Based on Tina Turner's autobiography, "I, Tina,"
it is a story of domestic abuse, with scenes of mental and physical violence.
SEX/NUDITY 5 - No nudity, but there is a very disturbing rape scene in which
characters are clothed (Ike attacks Tina in a sound booth).
VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - In addition to the rape scene, there's lots of domestic
violence. Ike drags Tina by the hair and punches her in the face and stomach several
times. Tina gets a bloody nose and mouth three times. In one scene, she fights back and
bloodies Ike's nose, and kicks him in the stomach.
PROFANITY 6 - The F-word and its derivatives are used frequently throughout

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Domestic violence and verbal abuse, adultery, abandonment of
children, drug abuse, greed.
