November 7

Cars [2006] [G], The - 2.3.2
Pixar animated feature about Lightning McQueen (with the voice of Owen Wilson), a cocky, ambitious rookie race car that crashes into the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs, destroying the main street. Sentenced to community service, the hotshot gets to know the town's offbeat characters and learns that there's pleasure in the journey, not just getting there. Also with the voices of Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, Cheech Marin and Larry the Cable Guy. Directed by John Lasseter & Joe Ranft. [1:56]

When a couple (Shawn Wayans and Kerry Washington) finds what they think is an abandoned baby (Marlon Wayans) on their front porch, the husband, who's very anxious to start a family, thinks that this is their opportunity to become parents by adopting. What he does not realize is that the baby is actually a man of very small stature, who is on the lam after stealing a precious diamond. The Da Vinci Code [2006] [PG-13] - 5.7.4
Based on Dan Brown's best-selling thriller, the story starts with Tom Hanks as a famous symbologist who's called to the Paris Louvre one night in order to decipher ancient symbols found scrawled on the body of a murdered curator. With the help of a French police cryptologist (Audrey Tautou) he uncovers a 2,000-year-old conspiracy to keep the true status of Mary Magdalene a secret from the faithful. John Tucker Must Die [2006] [PG-13] - 5.3.4
Three young women take on the challenge of systematically destroying a young man's life after they find out that he is dating all three of them, at the same time. The idea is to make him fall in love with someone and then break his heart in order to teach him a lesson. With Jesse Metcalfe, Sophia Bush, Ashanti, Brittany Snow and Sophia Bush. A young man (Justin Long) is turned down from every college he applies to, and realizing he's not the only one to have been so thoroughly rejected, he decides to create his own institution of higher learning. Strangers with Candy [2006] [R] - 7.5.5
A prequel to the television show "Strangers With Candy" that ran on Comedy Central, about a 46 year-old ex-junkie (Amy Sedaris) who returns home after many years in prison and goes back to high school, vowing to live her life over again, and this time to be good. Her father has been in a coma for three decades, and she is convinced that if she could be special in some way he would recover. Ice Age 2: The Meltdown [2006] [PG] - 1.4.2
Sequel to the popular "Ice Age": Three friends, a mammoth, a saber-tooth tiger and a sloth (voiced by Ray Romano, Denis Leary and John Leguizamo, respectively) try to escape across the melting ice plain, while vultures and newly thawed, hungry water animals are after them. Their unlikely herd is soon joined by a female mammoth (Queen Latifah) and her possum "brothers." Also with the voices of Josh Peck, Jay Leno, Will Arnett and Seann William Scott. A documentary film about former Vice President Al Gore's travels around the world, in order to present the scientific consensus on the issue of global warming and the argument that devastating results will result from inaction. Directed by Davis Guggenheim. [1:40]

You, Me and Dupree [2006] [PG-13] - 6.3.5
Shortly after returning from his honeymoon, a man runs into his best and oldest friend Dupree (Owen Wilson) who's been fired and sleeps on a cot in the back room of a bar after he's kicked out of his apartment. Unemployed -- and seemingly unemployable -- Dupree is invited to stay with the newlyweds (Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon), just for a few days. Brandon Routh assumes the mantle of the Man of Steel in this new series based on the classic comic: After a long absence Superman comes back to Earth to find that his old enemies are still determined to take away his powers, while Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth), whom he's still in love with, has moved on with her life. Clerks II [2006] [R] - 10.4.10
In this sequel that takes place 10 years after "Clerks," best friends Dante and Randal return (Brian Christopher O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson) as the indefatigably unambitious New Jersey friends. The quick mart where they worked has burned to the ground and now they are flipping burgers at a fast food restaurant, while continuing to abuse the customers. The Ant Bully [2006] [PG] - 2.4.1
A 10-year-old boy who is bullied by bigger neighborhood kids, becomes a bully himself when he takes his frustrations out on the anthill in his yard. An ant wizard in the colony is determined to teach the boy a lesson and develops a potion that shrinks the boy to ant size. Now he has to live among the ants before being able to return home. With the voices of Lily Tomlin, Larry Miller, Julia Roberts, Paul Giamatti and Zach Tyler Eisen. Directed by John A. Davis. [1:28]
