An avid rock climber (James Franco) falls and becomes trapped by a large rock that pins his arm. Nobody knows where he is, and after numerous attempts over 5 days to free himself by chiseling the rock, he resorts to extreme measures and cuts off his own forearm. Based on the true story of CIA operative Varlerie Plame (Naomi Watts) whose identity was revealed by White House officials in an attempt to discredit her husband, former Ambassador Joe Wilson (Sean Penn), after he argued in a 2003 New York Times op-ed piece that Iraq did not have the means to create WMD. Made in Dagenham [2010] [R] - 6.3.6
A dramatization of the 1968 labor strike at the Ford car plant in Dagenham, England, lead by Rita O'Grady (Sally Hawkins): she organized the female workers to walk out until their demands for equal pay were heard by everyone, including the British Secretary of State (Miranda Richardson) and the executives of the company.
