Loosely based on the ancient Greek myth of Perseus (Sam Worthington), an
illegitimate son of the god Zeus, who grows up as an ordinary fisherman, only to
be thrust in a quest to save the city of Argos from a sea monster. To do so he
has to travel to the underworld and bring back the head of Medusa, which is
reputed to turn into stone any living creature that merely looks at it. Filmed
