Samuel L. Jackson stars as an FBI agent, who's escorting a government witness on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles so he can testify against a crime boss. When the mobsters smuggle hundreds of snakes on the plane in order to make it crash over the Pacific, the passengers must fight for their lives. Four young men attending an elite academy are all that remains of the witches of the 17th century Ipswich Colony of Massachusetts. Awaiting their awakening at 18 years of age, when their supernatural powers will become full, they are aware of one catch: each time they use their powers, they will also age. When another young man moves to town they suspect that they might not be the only witches in Ipswich and they are tempted to use their powers, despite the repercussions. Swept up in a rekindled love affair that if discovered may lead to their doom, the magician's ability to create illusions may be the only thing that will save them. Jason Statham stars as a professional assassin who's injected with a drug that will kill him, unless he is able to maintain a level of adrenaline flow through his body for one hour. The Night Listener [2006] [R] - 6.3.7
Psychological thriller with Robin Williams starring as a famous author and radio show host, who receives the manuscript of a book written by a boy that was used as the subject of pornographic videos by his parents. When he also gets a call from the boy, he becomes suspicious about the boy's true identity and tries to track him down. Also with Toni Collette, Sandra Oh, Rory Culkin and Joe Morton. The Gridiron Gang [2006] [PG-13] - 3.5.5
Reportedly based on true events, about detention camp probation officer Sean Porter (Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson), who decided to try to instill self-respect and a sense of personal responsibility to a group of young and dangerous inmates by bringing them together as a high school level football team. The challenge is complicated by resistance from the camp authorities. Also with L. Scott Caldwell, Xzibit , Kevin Dunn and Leon Rippy. Directed by Phil Joanou. [2:00]

Employee of the Month [2006] [PG-13] - 4.4.5
A man (Dane Cook) working at the local discount warehouse store becomes inspired to compete for the "Employee of the Month" award when a new cashier (Jessica Simpson) joins the staff. He eventually realizes that there is more to doing a good job than just the reward of a gold star. Also with Dax Shepard, Efren Ramirez and Harland Williams. Directed by Greg Coolidge. [1:43]

The third installment in the gory torture series continues by inventing more grisly ways to dispatch victims, as well as new ways the victims can do gruesome damage to themselves. The plot concerns the criminal mastermind Jigsaw having apparently disappeared and recruiting a new apprentice. With Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Bahar Soomekh, Angus MacFadyen and Dina Meyer. The Guardian [2006] [PG-13] - 5.6.5
A legendary, aging Coast Guard rescue swimmer (Kevin Costner) is injured, both physically and emotionally during a rescue -- his crew, including his partner and best friend, were all killed -- and he becomes an instructor at a training facility. His teaching methods are unorthodox and rankle a young, brash swim champ (Ashton Kutcher). Also with Neal McDonough, Melissa Sagemiller and Clancy Brown. Directed by Andrew Davis. [2:16]

Documentary that focuses on an evangelical Christian summer camp, "Kids in Ministry International" (KIMI), where activities include speaking in tongues, and children are taught that "science doesn't prove anything," and that they are members of an Army of God that will fight to end abortion. Open Season [2006] [PG] - 1.4.2
Animated 3-D feature about a domesticated grizzly bear that's happily lived all its life in a garage. When it saves a one-horned mule deer from a hunter, they become reluctant friends, and end up together in the woods during hunting season. It's up to them to fend for themselves, as well as save all the other forest animals from determined hunters. With the voices of Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher, Debra Messing, Billy Connolly, Paul Westerberg, Gary Sinise, Jon Favreau and Patrick Warburton. Directed by Jill Culton, Roger Allers & Anthony F. Flyboys [2006] [PG-13] - 3.7.2
Inspired by true stories, about the beginning of aerial warfare during WWI: By 1917 France and England are losing the war against Germany and altruistic young Americans volunteer to fight for the French. Some join the nascent air force and engage in deadly dogfights. With James Franco, Jean Reno, David Ellison, Martin Henderson and Jennifer Decker. Directed by Tony Bill. [2:14]

Catch A Fire [2006] [PG-13] - 4.7.5
Tim Robbins stars as a South African anti-terrorism agent, prior to the abolition of Apartheid, when torture and murder were accepted practices in the name of weeding out the threat of an underground revolutionary movement. After an explosion at a nuclear power plant, he is determined to pin the act on an employee (Derek Luke) of the plant who cannot satisfactorily explain his whereabouts for that evening.
