The Smurfs 3D [2011] [PG] - 2.3.3
A middle-aged wizard (Hank Azaria) and his cat (voiced by Fred Welker) find the Smurfs' village and chase six Smurfs into the forest and through a vortex to 21st-century NYC. Clumsy Smurf (voiced by Anton Yelchin) gets lost and Papa Smurf (voiced by Jonathan Winters) finds him and tries to create a way back to their village by using blue moon magic. The six Smurfs hide in the home of a man and a woman (Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays), but the wizard and his cat find them. Three former Israeli agents (Helen Mirren, Tom Wilkinson, Ciaran Hinds) have to live with the consequences of a lie they told many years earlier about the capture of a Nazi war criminal. In the sequel to the 2009 Las Vegas bachelor party, the four friends (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha) fly to Thailand for the wedding of one of the men. After plans for a subdued bachelor party brunch go awry, the men meet up again with some of their old friends and dangerous hijinks begin to happen among drug and alcohol use. Adaptation of the 1938 children's book, set in contemporary Manhattan: When a distant father and ruthless businessman (Jim Carrey) inherits six penguins, he soon learns that the balance between work, life and personal space is easier when you add a little unexpected help. Kung Fu Panda 2 [2011] [PG] - 1.4.2
Po the Panda (voiced by Jack Black) is the happy Dragon Warrior, but he begins to wonder why his father is a goose (James Hong). Inspired by a true story about an 11-year-old boy (Nathan Gamble) who was inspired to help a dolphin whose tail had been lost in a crab trap, and how the process of recovery inspired many people. Margin Call [2011] [R] - 3.2.10
A look inside a financial institution that has profited handsomely from buying and selling mortgage loans: Set in the first 24 hours of the 2008 financial crisis, a risk analyst (Zachary Quinto) stumbles onto what looks like impending disaster for the company, and it becomes a challenge to find a way out. A re-imagining of William Shakespeare's play "The Tempest," now featuring the main character as a woman named Prospera (Helen Mirren). Her greedy brother Antonio (Chris Cooper) usurps her royal title, and along with her daughter Miranda (Felicity Jones) Prospera rules a desolate island until she uses her magical powers to wreck a boat carrying her enemies.
