ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Steven Seagal saves the world again in this sequel which
has the cook from "Under Siege" battling terrorists on a train.
SEX/NUDITY 3 - Bare buttocks and the breasts of a woman are seen on a
computer screen, passionate kissing. A man and woman having sex are interrupted by an
explosion (we see their bare shoulders).
VIOLENCE/GORE 7 - Many scenes of people being shot indiscriminately, with
the victims writhing and jerking with each shot; some blood is seen. Martial arts moves
are used on a few people and sometimes this results in some blood (nose, mouth, bruised
face). We hear bones crunching and squishy noises during these scenes (necks are broken
twice) and the victims scream and moan. In a couple of scenes smears and pools of blood
are seen. Many scenes of people running atop a moving train, some of them fall to their
deaths. A man threatens to poke the eyes out of two people with a hot needle. A man's
wrist is cut and we see a deep, bloody gash in close-up. A man is knifed in the throat and
dies with a gurgle. A man is thrown under the train and we see his bloody head bobbing up
and down. A man's bloody fingers are lopped off and he falls to his death from a
helicopter. A man is forced to shoot himself in the chin and blood sprays behind him. Two
explosions.
PROFANITY 8 - About 30 F-words, a couple of dozen scatological terms, many
milder obscenities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Terrorism, insanity, megalomania, military weaponry.
MESSAGE - Our military defense weapons could be used against us.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
