Unlike the MPAA we do not assign
one
inscrutable rating based on age, but 3 objective ratings for SEX/NUDITY, VIOLENCE/GORE
and PROFANITY on a scale of 0 to 10, from lowest to highest,
depending on quantity and context.
Saturday Night Live regulars Chris Farley and David Spade
try to make a movie out of their TV shtick.
SEX/NUDITY 1 - Nudity is suggested in a scene when a woman removes her
clothes at a distance. A man grabs a woman's clothed derriere.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - One character is particularly accident prone, and spends
much of his time running into doors, walls and machinery -- resulting in little personal
damage. A fist fight, a man is hit in the face with a board, and a deer is hit by a car
(but later revived). A character sets a toy car on fire.

PROFANITY 3 - An assortment of scatological and anatomical references, and
silly euphemisms. Many references to masturbation. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Greed, dishonesty and lust.
MESSAGE - If you really care about something you will eventually succeed.
A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we
started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were
not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many
older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please
keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period.
While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are
limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.
