ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

The story of the legendary Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) and
the shootout at the O.K. Corral.
SEX/NUDITY 1 - No nudity and only a bit of implied sex between Doc Holliday
and his girlfriend.
VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - A lot of shootouts, but only a few graphic scenes. It does
get bloody when a doctor is shown trying to remove a bullet. Another brief glimpse of gore
takes place when a man is hit in the jaw with the butt of a rifle; blood sprays out of his
mouth. The end of the movie is just one shootout after another. Given the nature of this
type of film, however, the violence is relatively TV-like.
PROFANITY 5 - One F-word and an assortment of scatological terms. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Violence and revenge.
MESSAGE - Law and order will triumph over evil. A true friend will never
leave your side.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
