ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Bette Midler and Dennis Farina play ex-spouses who find the
old flame is still burning when they both attend their daughter's wedding.
SEX/NUDITY 3 - A man kisses between a woman's clothed breasts. A couple of
scenes with sheets pulled up to bare shoulders, obviously after the couples have had sex.
A car rocks with a moaning couple inside. A bed shakes the room next door. Kissing, sexual
innuendo. A man pats a woman's clothed behind.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - Mainly played for laughs: A man grabs another's throat and
pushes him up against a wall. A woman chokes. A few scuffles (pushing, shoving). A woman
is knocked down during one scuffle. A woman whacks a man in the head with her hand.
PROFANITY 5 - One F-word, a few scatological references, some mild
obscenities and anatomical references. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Adultery, ex-spouses.
MESSAGE - Adultery can be fun. Sometimes you still love your ex.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
