MPAA Rating: PG

Sally Potter stars in her autobiographical story of a film director who falls in love with the Tango and the talented young dancer who teaches it to her. Also with Pablo Veron, Carolina Lotti, Gustavo Naveira, Fabian Salas and Carlos Copello.

SEX/NUDITY 1 - Two kisses; one is passionate.

VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - Three times, we hear a gunshot and then see a woman fall down; in another scene, we hear a gunshot and then see a woman standing in a boat collapse into the water. A woman falls down some steps and appears to be dead (no blood or injuries are visible). We briefly see two men's blistered, raw feet.

Our Ratings Explained

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.
