Three boys are spending the summer with their wise Grandpa who's a Ninja-master, until they get kidnapped because the bad guy wants to blackmail their FBI agent father. The little Ninjas battle the villains, etc.

SEX/NUDITY 0 - None.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - There's plenty of violence, but it's almost cartoonish because there is no visible bloodshed. There is one death by gunshot.

PROFANITY 0 - None. [profanity glossary]

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Arms dealing, organized crime, kidnapping.

MESSAGE - It's OK to defend yourself when provoked, but don't start a fight.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
