ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

A scientist and an army colonel travel through time and
space to unravel the origin of Egyptian civilization.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - No nudity. There is one scene of implied sex.
VIOLENCE/GORE 5 - There is little blood and gore. Marines are being knocked
around and killed by a villain's henchmen. However, the scene is dark and quick, and it is
difficult to see what's happening. One character is shot and another is beaten. A man is
punished by electrocution: he goes into convulsions and dies. People running on the ground
are shown being shot by enemy aircraft. A man is killed during a fist fight, and there is
a little blood. A man is blown up and he's shown burning and melting.
PROFANITY 1 - Just some insults. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Slavery, alien life-forms, the scientific vs. the military
agenda, time and space travel.
MESSAGE - History is not always correct.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
