ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Robert Redford stars as a security expert, who, with his
team (Sidney Poitier, Dan Aykroyd, David Strathairn, River Phoenix and Mary McDonnell) try
to steal a mysterious black box by infiltrating Ben Kingsley's super-duper office complex.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - One scene of a couple kissing passionately, complete with
groaning, the woman tears open her blouse to reveal a lace bra. This is all seen through a
camera.
VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - Punching and kicking and knocking over the head. Very
little blood is actually shown. Two men are shot, we just see one fall, the other is in a
car.
PROFANITY 3 - Occasional use of foul language. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Computer crimes, organized crime, jabs at the Republican
party.
MESSAGE - Dreams of changing the world when you were young are just dreams.
It's OK to run away from something bad you may have done; but it will always come back to
haunt you.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
