Animated feature based on the children's book "The Borrowers": The Clock family are four-inch tall humans that secretly live in a normal-sized family's home, "borrowing" small items to furnish their own home. After Arrietty (voiced by Bridgit Mendler), the youngest Clock, is discovered by a normal-sized boy (voiced by David Henrie), the world of the borrowers is soon turned upside down. SEX/NUDITY 1 - A boy is breathless and tells a miniature girl that she is "beautiful." A miniature girl holds a normal-sized boy's finger and the boy tells the miniature girl that she is "in his heart" and he will never forget her.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A crow flies into a window screen as a miniature girl stands on the window ledge; the crow squawks, gets trapped in the screen and the miniature girl stumbles and almost falls off the window ledge as a normal-sized boy tries to shove the crow out of the screen, a woman comes in and shouts, hitting the crow with a shoe until it dislodges from the screen, and the normal-sized boy lifts up the miniature girl and takes her to safety.
 A miniature woman screams in terror as a woman lifts the roof of her miniature home, the woman grabs the miniature woman, yanks a teapot from her hands and places the shouting miniature woman in her pocket; she then places the miniature woman inside a glass jar, puts plastic wrap over the top and the miniature woman shouts and pounds against the glass.
 A miniature woman screams and panics, falling down, as she spies a normal-sized boy looking at her. A miniature woman screams in terror as an unseen boy lifts portions of her house and moves it away; the miniature woman faints and the boy places a couch under her as she is about to fall (she is unharmed). A miniature girl is surprised when a normal-sized boy awakens and speaks to her; the miniature girl ignores the boy and disappears.
 A miniature woman panics and shouts when she finds out her miniature husband had twisted his ankle and she shouts in surprise when she sees a miniature boy helping her husband. A miniature woman panics and shrieks, saying that she is afraid that she and her miniature family will be caught. A miniature woman pants and falls backwards (she is unharmed); she tells her miniature husband that she cannot keep walking (she continues walking unharmed). A woman panics and shouts, stomping up and down and then shouts at two men. A miniature girl cries and tells a boy that her mother had been taken. A miniature man warns his miniature daughter that a family similar to theirs had gone missing after being discovered by human beings.
 A cat claws at a miniature girl as she runs through a grate (the girl is unharmed). A miniature girl is frightened when a crow caws at her. A miniature woman is startled when a large bug appears behind her miniature daughter's head, the girl holds out a matchstick to the bug and the bug scuttles away. A boy ducks and shouts when a crow flies next to his head. A normal-sized boy holds back a cat as it tries to hiss at a miniature girl. A boy lifts a cat up to a miniature girl, and the cat yowls, opening its mouth toward the girl (the girl is not frightened). A cat hisses when a crow lands on its back and pecks on its head (the cat walks away unharmed).
 A miniature man warns his miniature daughter that rats can be dangerous; the miniature girl says that she is not afraid because she has a stickpin (she brandishes it as a sword) and the man warns her not to look for trouble. A miniature boy draws his bow and arrow, aiming it at a normal-sized boy; the miniature boy then drops the bow.
 An ill boy pants as he runs, we see sweat on his brow and a miniature girl asks the boy if he is OK. An ill boy pants and clutches his chest as he runs through woods; he coughs and gasps but catches his breath. A normal-sized boy tells a miniature girl that he has a heart condition and that he will be operated on the following week and that he was so weak that he could not play with other children as a boy. A boy tells a miniature girl, "We all have to die sometime." A boy tells a miniature girl that she had given him the courage to live. A woman warns another woman that a boy's illness is related to his heart and it is implied that the boy is going to have heart surgery. A miniature woman warns her miniature daughter that "the world is full of dangerous people." A miniature woman warns her miniature daughter that the girl's aunt had been "eaten by a toad." A miniature woman warns her miniature daughter that it is too dangerous to explore a house when a boy is around. A miniature woman tells her miniature daughter that she always fears that her husband has been attacked by a cat; when her husband appears she asks her daughter, "Does he look eaten?" (the miniature man is unharmed). A miniature woman warns her daughter that she could be "eaten or squashed like a bug." A normal-sized boy tells a miniature girl that she is part of a "doomed species." A normal-sized boy tells a miniature girl that many great animals have become close to being extinct and the miniature girl shouts at the boy, saying that she and her species are not going to "die out." A miniature girl tells a normal-sized boy that if her family is discovered by human beings they would have to move, saying her mother had warned her that human beings are dangerous. A miniature woman tells her miniature daughter that children can be more dangerous than normal-sized people. A miniature man tells his miniature wife that their 14-year-old daughter will have to "learn how to get by once they leave this world." A woman warns an older woman that a group of "little people" had taken over their house and were stealing things. A woman shouts for a boy, saying, "You'll catch your death of a cold."
 A miniature woman shrieks in disgust when a miniature boy offers her a cricket's leg.
 A woman is startled when she opens a closet and objects fall out. A woman panics as she opens a trap door and discovers nothing on the other side. A miniature girl slips but steadies herself as she runs up a tile roof.

LANGUAGE 0 - Name-calling (crazy, you little thief, little robbers, idiot, bonkers).

SUBSTANCE USE - We see the hand of a woman lifting a glass of wine to her mouth, and an older woman asks a woman (whom she believes to be hallucinating) if she had not just "found the sherry again."

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Legends, disappointment, fairy tales, imagination, overcoming fear, exploration, courage.

MESSAGE - Imagination and courage are two very admirable traits.
