SEX/NUDITY 3 - Sexual innuendo, a woman is a dancer in a strip club where we see scantily clad, gyrating women.

VIOLENCE/GORE 7 - Violence is comic bookish: lots of martial arts kicks, twirls, headbutting, etc.. Chases on foot, car and over cars and water. Explosions, falls and purposeful dives from high places. People are shot and threatened with guns and knives. A grocery store is demolished.

PROFANITY 6 - 10+ F-words, some scatological references, some mild obscenities, some anatomical references. [profanity glossary]

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Martial arts, the Mafia, motorcycle gangs, bullies and thugs, paying protection money, protecting your family.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
