Gonzo believes he's an alien and that his outer space
relatives are trying to contact him, so he asks the Muppet gang to help him meet his
family. With F. Murray Abraham, Rob Schneider, Josh Charles, Ray Liotta, David Arquette,
Andie MacDowell and Kathy Griffin; voices of Dave Goelz, Steve Whitmire, Bill Barretta,
Jerry Nelson, Brian Henson, Kevin Clash, Frank Oz and Jeffrey Tambor. [1:28]
SEX/NUDITY 1 - A kiss; a girl wears a midriff-revealing top.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - Nearly all played for laughs: A muppet is struck with what
looks like a lightning bolt and gets a slight shock; a few other muppets get mildly
shocked, too. A muppet is restrained on a table, ready for a doctor to suck his brain out
of his head (the "surgery" doesn't take place). A shove, a few punches, and
two fistfights between a muppet and a human that include some face punches, a headlock and
leglock, hair-pulling and a kick in the crotch (in one of the fights, the human is later
seen tied up). A muppet is shoved into a wall when a door is opened, knocked out of a
window and grabbed by the shirt. It's implied that a cat was hit by a lawnmower (we
just hear it yelp). A muppet is shot into the air and falls back down to the ground, but
isn't harmed. A mild verbal threat and a couple instances of mild threatening with
guns and "space" guns. A muppet puts his finger up his nose.
PROFANITY 0 - None. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Outer space, family, friendships, being different, feeling
alone.
MESSAGE - Even if you're different from everyone else, you're
never alone if you have friends who love you.
