Brad Pitt is death warmed over in this romantic drama. Also
Anthony Hopkins, Claire Forlani and Marcia Gay Harden.
SEX/NUDITY 4 - There is an extended sex scene with kissing, undressing and
thrusting -- the only nudity seen, however, are bare backs and shoulders and the man's
chest. Some sexual innuendo and kissing.

twisted. A man nearly dies from a heart attack; we see him groaning and clutching his
chest.
PROFANITY 6 - One F-word, a few anatomical references, many scatological
references and mild obscenities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Dying and death, love, family, business deals machinations.
MESSAGE - Everyone must and will die eventually.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
