ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Sequel to "Major League I," with Charlie Sheen
and Tom Berenger reprising their roles as unorthodox baseball players.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - There are several heavy kissing scenes, one of which has a
couple fall off a couch in the heat of passion.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - A few violent episodes are depicted in a clip of a movie
starring one of the baseball players: He totes a machine gun and levels the playing field
with it. Blood and guts are all done in a mocking tone.
PROFANITY 3 - About ten scatological references and some milder profanities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Big business and baseball; lack of role models for inner city
youth; image vs. reality.
MESSAGE - It doesn't matter what people think of you, as long as you never
lose sight of what's really important.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
