ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Based on the '60s TV series, the family's ship is sabotaged
and they get lost in space. With Gary Oldman, William Hurt, Matt LeBlanc and Mimi Rogers.
SEX/NUDITY 1 - A holograph wears a cleavage revealing bikini. Really tight
space catsuits are worn by crew members. Flirting and sexual innuendo.
VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - Several space ships blow up killing the humans or aliens
onboard. A man suffers an electric shock. There's a laser battle between a robot and some
humans and a battle with space creatures takes place leaving many of them dead. Two men
are shot with lasers set-to-stun. A woman is almost killed by being trapped in her sleep
chamber. The space creatures are scary looking, spider-like and with large fangs. A burned
spot on a man's hand is shown and a man has a big open wound on his back. Some punching. A
man is momentarily choked. Reckless space flying. Threatening with ray guns.
PROFANITY 3 - A handful of scatological terms, and a couple of dozen mild
obscenities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Space travel, alien beings, war, survival.
MESSAGE - Families that stick together are never lost.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
