ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Geena Davis is an amnesia victim who discovers her former
occupation: CIA assassin.
SEX/NUDITY 3 - Sexual innuendo, kissing. Twice we see a woman nude but with
her arms covering her breasts; in one of these scenes we see part of her buttocks. We see
bra and panties through a woman's nightgown. A prostitute is on top of a man having sex
(no nudity is seen).
VIOLENCE/GORE 9 - A deer is hit and a car crashes leaving the deer and human
car passengers a bit bloody. A woman kills the deer by twisting its neck; and the car
explodes. A woman has a bloody gash on her head. In a dream a woman slices open another's
throat. A man is stabbed as he hangs, a couple of stabbings in necks, and a few other
stabbings. Many people are shot at and there's blood (sometimes blood spurts from their
wounds, machine gun fire is often used); many are killed. A drowned corpse, torture by
repeatedly putting someone underwater, a stabbing in the eye with some blood, people are
beaten up sometimes with blood (mainly on the face). A woman breaks a few men's necks.
Threatening with guns and knives, some fighting scenes with punching, kicking, etc..
Grenades explode with resultant property damage. Chases, falls, a man is run over by a
car. Reckless driving, a child is kidnapped, a man on fire.
PROFANITY 9 - 40+ F-words, many scatological references, many mild
obscenities, many anatomical references. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - CIA, terrorism, assassins, amnesia, contract killing.
MESSAGE - Our government is not always to be trusted. It's important to know
who you really are but the truth might be dangerous.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
