Unlike the MPAA we do not assign
one
inscrutable rating based on age, but 3 objective ratings for SEX/NUDITY, VIOLENCE/GORE
and PROFANITY on a scale of 0 to 10, from lowest to highest,
depending on quantity and context.
Two angels must make two mismatched people fall in love.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - Kissing. Sexual innuendo. Cleavage revealing outfits.
VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - Mainly played for laughs: A woman shoots apples off
people's heads, and once shoots a person. A man is beaten up with punches. A couple of
people are shot in the leg with a bit of blood. A man bites another's leg. A machine gun
is fired at a man and riddles a car with bullets. A woman cuts her arm deeply with a razor
and lets the blood run into a cup. A woman is envisioned with a bloody abdominal gunshot
wound. A woman is punched and a man is hit on the head with a shovel. A scalpel cuts into
a leg and blood spurts out. A bloody nose after a face punch. A fight with a man being
punched in the abdomen, a woman thrown to a couch, and a man being head butted. A couple
of people are shot in the head; the result is two small, bloody bullet holes and later
very bloody heads. A woman flips over a truck, hits the hood and then falls onto the road.
A vehicle plunges over a cliff and a woman is smashed onto a boulder. Reckless driving.

PROFANITY 6 - About nine F-words, some scatological references, a few

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we
started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were
not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many
older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please
keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period.
While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are
limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.
