Unlike the MPAA we do not assign
one
inscrutable rating based on age, but 3 objective ratings for SEX/NUDITY, VIOLENCE/GORE
and PROFANITY on a scale of 0 to 10, from lowest to highest,
depending on quantity and context.
David Schwimmer stars as a man so worried about his
fiancee's fidelity - even though he's a womanizer and unfaithful himself - he tests her
with his best friend.
SEX/NUDITY 4 - Lots of sexual innuendo and discussions of sex. A woman tries
to seduce a man and rips open his shirt. Women in a strip club expose cleavage and bare
buttocks, and a woman exposes the side of her bare buttocks as she jumps on top of a man.
A woman and two men sleep together (literally). Several women are shown in their
underwear.
VIOLENCE/GORE 0 - None.
the review continues below...
PROFANITY 8 - About 50 F-words, over 20 scatological references, several
anatomical terms, sexual terms and mild obscenities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Trust, loyalty, relationships, sex without commitment and
infidelity.
MESSAGE - True love has to be built on trust and respect.
A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we
started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were
not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many
older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please
keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period.
While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are
limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.
