Unlike the MPAA we do not assign
one
inscrutable rating based on age, but 3 objective ratings for SEX/NUDITY, VIOLENCE/GORE
and PROFANITY on a scale of 0 to 10, from lowest to highest,
depending on quantity and context.
Emilio Estevez and Denis Leary star in this violent tale of
a road trip gone bad.
SEX/NUDITY 0 - None.
VIOLENCE/GORE 7 - There are three murders and two killings in self-defense.
One man is thrown from a roof and we see a twisted corpse bleeding from the mouth and
nose. One is shot pointblank in the head, while kneeling and begging for mercy. Another is
strangled and held under water until he drowns; his blood spreads through the water.
Another is shot in the heart two or three times, and the resulting bloody chest is shown.
Also, another character is shot in the stomach and bleeds, and another is wounded in the
leg, with more blood. There is a lot of gunfire. There are several fist fights, and one
ends with one man being thrown off a balcony to his death.

PROFANITY 7 - The F-word is employed numerous times, as well as scatological
and anatomical terms. [profanity glossary]
A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we
started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were
not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many
older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please
keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period.
While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are
limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.
