Marlon Brando is Dr. Moreau -- a scientist who has
populated a remote island with his half animal, half human children.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - A half-human/half animal woman gives birth and we see one
bare breast, kisses.
VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - Lots of disfigured half human/half animals (a laboratory
scene has the same in fetal form). A bloody childbirth, fistfights, beatings, foot chases.
A few times we see bloody, mutilated rabbits (a man twists a rabbit's neck). People are
shot and sometimes we see blood. A man/animal takes an implant out of his chest and we see
the bloody wound. A man is mauled and we see some blood. A man/animal drips blood and some
man/animals are shocked a few times which results in convulsions. A woman is hung in
shadow.
PROFANITY 5 - One F-word, one mild obscenity. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Genetic research, disfigurement, science, isolation,
insanity.
MESSAGE - We shouldn't play God.
