A dramatization of events surrounding a fired tobacco company executive's decision to go public with information about the company's unethical practices at the prompting of a "60 Minutes" producer. With Al Pacino, Russell Crowe, Christopher Plummer, Diane Venora, Philip Baker Hall, Lindsay Crouse, Debi Mazar, Stephen Tobolowsky, Colm Feore, Bruce McGill, Gina Gershon, Michael Gambon, Rip Torn, Lynne Thigpen and Hallie Kate Eisenberg. SEX/NUDITY 1 - A kiss.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - We see a corpse lying in a small pool of blood with blood on the back of its shirt. A man nearly shoots a raccoon. We see soldiers holding machine guns. We see an e-mail message containing a death threat. Some yelling.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.

INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
