A boy puts a plastic Indian in his new toy cupboard and when he opens the door the next day, the Indian is alive, although minuscule.

SEX/NUDITY 1 - An MTV video with bikini-clad women frolicking across the television screen is briefly seen.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A man pokes a boy's thumb with his knife. A man is attacked by a bird and this results in some blood on his leg. A man is accidentally shot (with a bow and arrow), there is blood on his chest and he almost dies. A television show depicts Native Americans screaming as they are being shot. A boy is mugged and this results in a scraped elbow with some blood. A man is attacked by a rat. A battle between two men with gunfire and arrows. A shoving match between two boys. A man dies from shock.

LANGUAGE 1 - A couple of mild obscenities.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Native American culture, death, friendship, magic.

MESSAGE - You shouldn't use people; just because someone is different from you doesn't mean you should treat them as inferior; you should always act ethically and responsibly.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
