ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Robert Downey, Jr. stars as man whose body is possessed by
four hapless souls who want to use him in order to fulfill their aspirations, so rudely
interrupted by death.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - No nudity, and no sex scenes. There is some mild sex humor: a
ghost tries to look up women's skirts and gets a child to turn the pages of
"Playboy." A man tries to put his hand up a woman's dress.
VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A bus goes over a bridge and the passengers are killed;
there is no blood and there are no mangled bodies. One scene in which a character hits a
man with a fireplace poker, and there's some punching.
PROFANITY 3 - Some scatological language. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Death, insanity, lust, stealing, the afterlife.
MESSAGE - Learning to love, taking risks for love.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
