ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Macaulay Culkin and Ted Danson star as an ex-convict and
son with the son bent on redeeming the father and the father set on one last great heist.
SEX/NUDITY 1 - A brief scene where a woman is shown dancing suggestively in
a bar: her midriff is shown but all else is clothed. One passionate kiss between Ted
Danson and Glenne Headly.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - Most of the violence is played as slapstick: Danson and a
cohort spray mace into police officers' eyes then hit them and tie and gag them. One of
Danson's partners falls down the steps at a baseball game, gets hit and bonked on the head
a few times, and then falls down the steps of a church.
PROFANITY 1 - A couple of really mild profanities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Prison, losing a parent, being abandoned by a parent,
stealing.
MESSAGE - Your family is more important than money.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
