Michael J. Fox can talk to spirits in a small town where Death seems to be rather active.

SEX/NUDITY 1 - Kissing, nuzzling, sexual innuendo.

VIOLENCE/GORE 7 - Scenes of ghosts haunting people: objects fly, walls ripple and ghosts grab people; scenes of disfigured and rotting ghosts; a man has his head shot off followed by a gush of blood, a couple of shootouts (some blood), a woman cuts her hand; a dead woman lies in a bed splattered with her blood (blood is also splattered on the walls), ghosts are squashed (some blood) to "death." A mass murder in a hospital has many people shot and lying in pools of blood; bloody numbers are carved in their foreheads. People are threatened with guns, people are strangled, when two people go to hell there are red, writhing snakes and worms. Fistfights and scuffles resulting in bruises and scratches.

PROFANITY 5 - One mouthed F-word, some mild obscenities, many scatological references, many anatomical references. [profanity glossary]

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
