MPAA Rating: PG

A boy, a dog, a loving family, an adventure and a little innocent romance.

SEX/NUDITY 0 - One very chaste kiss between a teenage boy and girl.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - Some scenes may be scary for small children including a violent storm at sea which leaves characters shipwrecked, an unsuccessful wolf attack (no blood), a bobcat feeding on its kill (very little blood) and one heart-grabbing scene in which a dog falls from a log bridge into a deep ravine. It is also implied that a character has killed and eaten a mouse (for survival).
