Robert De Niro stalks baseball star Wesley Snipes.
SEX/NUDITY 1 - Sexual innuendo, a scantily clad dancer gyrates in the
background in a bar scene.
VIOLENCE/GORE 5 - Yelling, pushing and shoving, threatening with objects
(bats and knives). A man is stabbed in the thigh and blood spurts out as he twitches and
dies. Fistfights, one which results in blood trickling from a nose. A boy almost drowns,
fastballs almost hit people in the head, a man bludgeons another man's head with a
baseball bat (there's blood at the man's temples). A man is shot many times with his body
jerking and a little blood.
PROFANITY 9 - 30+ F-words, many scatological and anatomical references, some
mild obscenities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Baseball and obsessed fans, stalking, noncustodial parental
visitation, delusions, insanity.
MESSAGE - The fans are important; don't stop caring.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
