ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

Two girls in WWI England take photos of presumably fake
fairies.
SEX/NUDITY 0 - None.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - A man's scarred face is seen a couple of times.
There are a couple of tense magic tricks. A chase and a stumble, and a man grabs a girl
and shakes her a bit. A ghost and poltergeist-like activity (papers flying, doors shutting
on their own, etc.).
PROFANITY 2 - An anatomical reference and a mild obscenity. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - War, death of a child, spiritualism, the occult and
mediums, fairies.
MESSAGE - Sometimes it's beneficial to believe in the
supernatural.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
