"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME

Entrapment | 1999 | PG-13 | - 3.4.5

An insurance agent (Catherine Zeta-Jones) poses as a master thief so she can catch the elusive professional (Sean Connery) she's been following for years. Also with Ving Rhames, Will Patton, Maury Chaykin, Kevin McNally and Terry O'Neill. [1:52]

SEX/NUDITY 3 - A couple of kisses. We see a nude woman's back and cleavage (she covers the rest of her body with a sheet), a woman in a cleavage-revealing dress and a man in a loincloth. A man runs his hand along the side of a nude woman's torso as he pulls a sheet up to her shoulders (her bare back and part of her hip are visible). We see a nude woman's breasts in a Rembrandt painting.

VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - A man breaks through a car window and tries to grab one of its passengers, pierces the car's roof with a knife and shoots at the car (a window is shattered). A man is hit over the head with a vase, a man is punched and a man is maced. A man repeatedly holds someone under water, scaring but not harming the person. A woman hits a man repeatedly with a briefcase and they briefly scuffle on the floor. Some threatening with guns and knives. A few tiny explosions break through concrete. A man and woman nearly fall off the side of a building. Reckless driving; a man holding onto a moving car is thrown off. A man has a slightly blackened eye and acts as if his ribs are injured.

LANGUAGE 5 - Two F-words, several scatological references, many mild obscenities and some insults.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Theft, deception, brief marijuana use.

MESSAGE - Thievery is an exhilarating but dangerous addiction.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
