A primate wreaks havoc on a hotel and in
people's lives in this furry comedy. With Jason Alexander, Faye Dunaway, Eric Lloyd,
Rupert Everett, Graham Sack, Paul Reubens, Glenn Shadix, Nathan Davis, Jennifer Bassey,
Judith Scott, Bruce Beatty, Danny Comden, Steven Gilborn, Lois De Banzie and Natalie Core. [1:28]
SEX/NUDITY 2 - Sexual innuendo; a towel-clad woman moans pleasurably while
being massaged.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - Primate hijinks including pratfalls and screaming. The ape
surprises and scares people by chasing them, hiding under their tables, crawling into
their laps and breaking into their rooms.
PROFANITY 2 - A scatological reference and a couple of mild obscenities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Primates, thievery, wealth.
MESSAGE - A primate can be your best friend. Good will win out over evil in
the end.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
