1 to 10

MPAA Rating: R

Nancy Travis and Dylan McDermott spend eternity together -- with a little help from a god called Destiny (Quentin Tarantino).

SEX/NUDITY 3 - Showgirls are shown, from behind with only G-strings on. A man is shown nude, with a strategically placed table hiding his private parts. A dancer is shown in a bra. A man and woman are shown under a blanket, presumably after sex, with exposed shoulders. A woman is shown in a bubble bath (only naked shoulders seen). A man and woman fall into bed kissing and hugging. Several passionate kissing scenes. A man keeps grabbing his clothed crotch. And there are several sexual references but they are not graphic or lewd.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - There are a few near car crashes. A few fights, some with yelling and wild gestures; some involve throwing things. A man is hit in the face twice, and another gets a knee to the groin. A man is hit by lightening a few times. A motorcycle blows up. Men are hit in the head with a shoe and a billy club and knocked unconscious. A man is threatened with a gun.

Our Ratings Explained

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.
