ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|
Unlike the MPAA we do not assign one inscrutable rating based on age, but 3 objective ratings for SEX/NUDITY, VIOLENCE/GORE and PROFANITY on a scale of 0 to 10, from lowest to highest, depending on quantity and context. |

Bill Bellamy likes the women in this comedy.
SEX/NUDITY 8 - In seven scenes there are bare breasts seen, and in one scene
we see a woman's G-string clad buttocks. In a few sex scenes we see a man or a woman on
top with thrusting and caressing and one scene implies oral sex: A woman sits on a man's
lap and caresses her own breasts, a man lies behind a woman while caressing her breasts
and a man kisses and strokes a woman's spread, bare legs. A woman is on top of a man (both
scantily clad) and she is gyrating and thrusting wildly. Lots of sexual innuendo.
VIOLENCE/GORE 1 - A few scuffles, a couple slaps to the face, a slap on the
head.
PROFANITY 8 - About 45 F-words, many scatological references, many
anatomical references, many mild obscenities, some racial slurs (African-Americans
referring to other African- Americans). [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Dating, infidelity, siblings.
MESSAGE - Men shouldn't play around.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
