EDITOR'S NOTE

» In the next few weeks we will be trying out In-Text Advertising, a new type of advertising that we think is less intrusive than many other formats. Basically, keywords on our pages that correspond to an advertiser's product or service will be double-underlined in green. More details here.

MPAA Rating: R

A day in the life of high-schoolers, circa 1976.

SEX/NUDITY 3 - Very little actual sex or nudity, but quite a bit of sexual innuendo and pubescent sex talk. One teenager tells his friend about an erotic dream, which is then referred to as a male pornographic fantasy. Two couples are shown kissing.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - There is no blood or gore. There are several scenes of people being chased down and then being paddled on their backsides. A woman pulls a shotgun on a teenager, and a man pulls a gun on a car full of teenagers, waves it around and shoots at them; nobody's hurt. There is a gross scene of teenage girls being hazed: they get doused by assorted condiments. A fist fight, which leads to a couple of black eyes.

PROFANITY 7 - Many F-words, scatological terms and sexual and anatomical references. [profanity glossary]

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Drug use, hazing and initiation rituals, under age drinking, following (and breaking) adult rules.
