ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

The story centers around a love-hate relationship between
an ex-hockey player (D.B. Sweeney) and a figure skater (Moira Kelly) both hoping to try
for a medal in pairs figure skating at the 1992 Olympics.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - No nudity, but two non-explicit sex scenes: the participants
are covered in sheets and/or towels both times. And one scene where one character lifts
her skating skirt.
VIOLENCE/GORE 1 - Some roughness in an opening hockey scene. One character
accidentally hits the other in the nose with a hockey puck.
PROFANITY 1 - One coy reference, some anatomical language. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Premarital sex, excessive drinking.
MESSAGE - The main characters are shown to win when they become able to get
along with each other.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
