Eccentric and impassioned tour guide Timothy "Speed" Levitch escorts us (along with several bus-loads of tourists) through the streets of New York City in this documentary by Bennett Miller. [1:16]

SEX/NUDITY 2 - Lots of sexual innuendo (including references to erections and an orgy). While looking at and describing a building, a man makes a reference to being nude and chasing a nude woman through a forest; he also groans and grunts repeatedly as if having sexual intercourse.

VIOLENCE/GORE 1 - A verbal threat.

PROFANITY 5 - Three F-words, an anatomical reference, several mild obscenities and an insult. [profanity glossary]

DISCUSSION TOPICS - New York City, city tours, philosophical musings, generational issues, sincerity, success vs. failure.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
