Based on the popular 1960's television series, the story begins when Jed (Jim Varney) strikes oil behind his Ozark mountain shack and becomes an instant billionaire. Yearning for some sophistication, he hauls his family off to Beverly Hills. With Erika Eleniak and Lily Tomlin.

SEX/NUDITY 0 - None.

VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - A few scenes with some slapstick fist fights. No blood or gore. There is a quick flash of a teenage boy found dead in a locker with an apple in his mouth. Granny is kidnapped and gagged.

PROFANITY 4 - Several characters use the international hand gesture for the F-word. [profanity glossary]

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Greed, money, class distinctions and different social groups, discrimination.

MESSAGE - Happiness is more important than money, and having a lot of money doesn't necessarily guarantee happiness.

INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
