ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

A reprise of the Richard Dreyfuss/Emilio Estevez vehicle of
1987. Dreyfuss, Estevez and Rosie O'Donnell pose as a family, and stake out a suspicious
house.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - Rosie is in the tub, but covered by bubbles. Some almost
inadvertent groping.
VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - A massive explosion kills three, though we are only shown
fleeting glimpses of bodies. There is some punching and hitting. Estevez falls down the
stairs while tied to a chair, and is knocked unconscious with a club. The police and one
main character are wounded by gunfire; one policeman dies. A character is shot at point
blank range, but the camera looks away at the last moment.
PROFANITY 3 - There are some scatological terms, and some cussing. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Fear of commitment in romantic relationships.
MESSAGE - Everyone on a team has an important contribution to make.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
