MPAA Rating: PG

A boy visits his father in China and helps save a panda cub from poachers.

SEX/NUDITY 2 - When a boy and a young girl find leeches on their bodies, they strip and run into the river to wash them off; we see bare legs and arms, and the characters are uncomfortably aware of the others' nudity.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - Twice the boy and girl fall into fast-moving rivers screaming (the girl can't swim). The mother panda is caught in a trap and is almost shot by poachers. Throughout the film the poachers chase the boy and girl and there is a fight along a cliff. A couple of chases with runaway carts. In a cartoon before the film there are kicks, punches, chases and cartoon violence.

PROFANITY 1 - A couple of mild obscenities. [profanity glossary]

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Wildlife preservation, divorce, fatherhood, friendship, sacrifice, poaching.

MESSAGE - You have to spend time with your child to be able to call yourself a father; saving animals is important and killing them for profit is wrong.
