ASSIGNED NUMBERS |
|
|

A mock-documentary about the pitfalls of filmmaking in
Hollywood.
SEX/NUDITY 5 - Sexual innuendo and many references to sex acts. Some bare
breasts are shown rendered as graffiti. Oral sex is implied, and oral sex is performed on
a cane. A woman's cleavage is exposed. A woman is shown in a bra and panties. A woman
flashes her breasts (with her back to us), but the side of her bosom is visible.
VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - Guns are fired at targets with faces and in a scene from a
movie. Someone is punched and a man attempts to pull out a gun during a meeting.
PROFANITY 10 - Over 100 F-words, many scatological terms, many anatomical
and sexual references, and many mild obscenities. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - The film industry and Hollywood, artistic vs. commercial
interests.
MESSAGE - One should stand up for the integrity of his vision.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process. |
